Portal Hound for logistics and freight
Load boards and carrier portals for your offshore ops team, without shared logins.
Track-and-trace, carrier onboarding, document collection and customs follow-up run on web portals around the clock. Portal Hound gives your offshore team named access to the platforms you approve, from one company-owned U.S. address, with a record of who did what.
The problem
Load boards and carrier systems don't like shared seats, and say so.
Load boards and carrier onboarding platforms charge per seat and watch for sharing; several explicitly ban logins from outside North America. Overnight teams working under one dispatcher's login put the brokerage's account at risk, and leave no record of who booked, rated or released a load.
Per-seat platforms that police sharing
Load boards detect one seat used from many places and suspend it, usually at the worst moment.
No record of who booked the load
A double-brokered or mis-rated load under a shared login has no name attached.
Customs and compliance portals
Document and customs portals restrict access by location and keep their own audit trail; shared logins break both.
How it works
One button for workers. Full control for you.
You approve the portals
Add each platform your team works in. Portal Hound suggests the domains it needs, and nothing is reachable until you approve it.
Workers press Connect
They install a small app for Windows or Mac, sign in with their work email, and connect. There's nothing to configure.
Only approved portals go through
Those platforms are reached through your company's U.S. gateway, tied to that person and logged. Email, banking and everything else use the worker's own connection.
Platforms
The portals these teams approve first.
Any web platform can be approved. These are typical for logistics and freight brokerage.
What you get
A seat per person, one brokerage address, a log of every booking session.
- Every ops team member holds their own seat where the platform sells seats; Portal Hound never shares one.
- All platform logins leave from your brokerage's one U.S. address, so location-based challenges stop.
- Access logs tie every carrier-portal and load-board session to a person.
- Revoke a departing employee in one click; nobody else on the night shift is affected.
Requirements
Portal Hound is for teams already allowed to work offshore.
It controls and records how your team reaches portals. It doesn't change who is allowed to use them, or where from.
Your agreements must permit offshore access
Several load boards and carrier platforms restrict use to North America or to the seat holder only, and customs systems have their own access rules. Check each platform's terms before routing it. Portal Hound is not a way around a platform's location rules.
Every person uses their own login
Your team members sign in to each platform with accounts issued to them, in the role they need. Portal Hound never shares, stores or fills in a login, and it isn't for working as somebody else.
Regulated data stays your responsibility
If your team handles regulated or confidential information, your own policies, safeguards and training still apply. Portal Hound helps with access control and audit records; it doesn't make you compliant on its own.
Tell your team access is logged
The access log records which person reached which platform and when. Tell them, and follow the privacy and employment rules where they work.
Portal Hound doesn't guarantee access to any portal. The companies that run them decide who may use their systems. Full requirements.
Questions from logistics and freight brokerage
Will the load board see all our users from one address?
Yes, from your brokerage's address, each under their own seat. That's the arrangement most load boards expect from a multi-user office; it isn't a way to share one seat.
Does it slow down tracking updates?
Portal traffic goes through a U.S. gateway, so there's a small amount of extra distance. Teams working from Asia typically notice no difference on web portals; large file downloads are a little slower.
Can our customs broker partner use it too?
Only for portals your company is authorized to use. A partner firm should run its own Portal Hound gateway under its own agreements.
